Please post in the forum for the day a short essay in response to this question:

Some of the cultures in this chapter assimilated the customs of people who conquered them (or whom they conquered), and others rejected influence from outside.

• How did the Muslim and Mongol invaders interact with the cultures they found in place in central Asia, India and China? How were different religions viewed, tolerated, promoted, or suppressed?
• What effect did these have on the formation and exchange between communities in India and China?
