Once you've chosen a topic, you'll need to do some research. Go beyond your textbook and look up some sources to learn more.

How early does your topic come up in Chinese history? Thinking in terms of resources, community, or power, what the importance of your topic in Chinese history? What else were you able to learn about your topic that you didn't know before?

We'll discuss all four of these topics in Wednesday's class on "trade and organization," so please come prepared to share what you've learned.
