The main plot of the Mahabharata is about war, but the poem claims to contain everything important to the society that produced it. Based on the Bhagavad Gita passage excerpted in Source 3.2, identify and describe some things that seem important to the characters in the poem, or that seem important to its audience.

Consider:

• On the evidence of this passage, why might the Brahmans be a higher caste than the Kshatriyas?
• Who else worships Krishna?
• What impression do you form of Krishna?
• What impression do you form of the hero Arjuna?
