You should be comfortable using a computer browser. All of our work will be done either in chat or on the MIT Site, using FireFox or Safari.
No math background is required, although students who have some exposure to simple algebra substitutions may find it entertaining to use mathematical expressions in their work.
About two hours per week is necessary to complete a workbook exercise and the week's assigned project, although students may wind up spending more time if they choose to do a more elaborate project. There are no exams.
This is an ungraded summer enrichment course. If you require a grade or credit for your work, contact the instructor. You may be required to do extra projects for academic credit.
