Unit 19: Early Christian Fathers
Preparation
- History Web Lecture: Students need to read the selections carefully and analyze what the authors actually said, without assuming that secondary text summaries they may already know reflect the complexity of ideas and some of the subtle differences of opinion expressed by the early Church Fathers.
- Science Web Lecture: The concept of periodicity is fundamental to science. Students need to realize that we can use "wave mathematics" to describe any periodic function, whether a physical wave is involved or not.
- Homework: The Mastery Exercises focus on terminology and concepts: students should understand the basic terms used to describe wave phenomena, and how the concepts are related.
