Scholars Online Precocious Student
Develop a disciplined approach to studying for any course or topic, at any level, from junior high to college, or for self-study.
During this eight-week course we will learn to
- examine course materials to determine expectations and course load
- determine your own best learning practices and improve them
- use your course textbook efficiently and discover its "helps"
- manage your time to complete both short-term and long-term assignments
- take notes on written materials and lectures
- decipher graphs and diagrams
- memorize essential information
- complete projects and labs
- study for quizzes and comprehensive exams
Prerequisite: Students should be comfortable using a text editor or word processor and recent browser.
Meetings: The course meets once a week for 90 minutes. See the Precocious Student Schedule for this year's topics.
