Week 26: Articles, pronouns, and numerals

Please read and study: §§193-194; vocabulary groups 162-168 (Word-Hoard).

Please prepare: Riddles, (m); “The Seafarer”, 1-57.

“The Seafarer” is another famous example of Old English elegy. Consider how it differs from “The Wanderer”, and how it is similar. If you can track it down, you can probably find Ezra Pound’s remarkably strong translation of the poem.
